THE ORIGINAL REIKI IDEALS

The secret art of inviting happiness
The miraculous medicine of all diseases
Just for today, do not anger
Do not worry and be filled with gratitude
Devote yourself to your work and be kind to people
Every morning and evening join your hands in prayer,
Pray these words to your heart and chant these words with your mouth
Usui Reiki Treatment for the improvement of body and mind
-Usui Mikao, the founder of Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai

This is the version used by Reiki masters in Japan
And it’s believed that this is originally used by Dr Usui.

REIKI MASTERS SHARE IN VANCOUVER, BC

January 29th, 2005 –
The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 26th, 2005 at Canadian Memorial Center for Peace, 12 noon until 4 pm
Details at www.threshold.ca

The meeting was lead by Rick Rivard(www.threshold.ca) who is a great resource for Reiki history -West and Japanese Tradition. Rick introduced us HATSUREI-HO which contains the following techniques – Kenyoku, Joshin kokyu-ho, Seishin Toitsu. More detailed explanation below.
Hatsu’ – means ‘to generate’ something,
Rei’- means ‘spirit, soul, energy, ki’
Ho’ – means ‘method’
Hatsurei-ho when used in the meetings it’s called SHUYO-HO.
Hatsurei-ho is a method for helping us to enhance our energy channel and spiritual growth.
While doing meditation we received traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai style Reiju (attunement).
And then we were taught this beautifully simple attunement and practiced on each other.
We also had Reiki exchange as it was done by Dr. Hayashi – 4-5 people giving Reiki to a person on the table.
The meeting was closed by Reiki Mawashi (traditional Reiki Circle with holding hands and blessings).

QI GONG PRACTICED WITH REIKI

Something new from something very old …connecting qi gong with Reiki energy.
Qi gong is in my daily practice as well as Reiki and I started to put them together honestly speaking, to save some time during my practice. I noticed that this connection empowers both practices – my qi gong as well as Reiki flow. Over this year I will share in the Reiki Sharing bio-monthly e-newsletter some movements, meditations, visualizations and breathing as practiced in Qi gong. You will find couple of movements, meditations in every e-newsletter and if you feel that this is helping you in self-healing, self-growing, I would recommend then to practice those exercises over months till you really get them at the deep level. Most teachers would recommend to learn a few exercises at a deep level than to learn all the exercises at a lower level. Also, my teacher who introduced me to qi gong, Dr. Colbey Forman, asked me not to play with Reiki energy at the begging but rather to learn more and play with my own chi and only add Reiki when I will be really ready for it.

There are many types of qi gong – some teachers would say that there are thousands of them.
I will share two styles which I practice – some movements from Ba Duan Jin and some from Yi Jin Jing.
Those exercises are much more than only physical movements.
The main purpose of them is to improve the amount of the flow of chi (the vital energy) in the body which is self-healing art by itself.
· The exercises are simple and can be practiced by anyone at any age.
· If you can not do them in the standing position, do while sitting on a chair with straight back and both feet on the floor.
· If you are a Reiki Practitioner, try for the first month or so using only your own energy, play with your chi. When you feel that your chi is flowing nicely then you might add Reiki energy to those movements. I am a qi gong student myself and I do realize that many teachers will disagree with adding Reiki energy to the qi gong practice. So if you don’t feel comfortable with this new concept please stick to practicing qi gong with your own chi and you will experience wonders.
· Set aside about 10 minutes at the begging for qi gong practice.
· Choose a place when you won’t have any distractions and where is nice flow of energy – outdoors will be a great place to do the practice also.
· Be mindful and aware of your own energy.
· Have some fun while doing those movements without forcing yourself. You might notice that your body, your hands will take you for a ride after some time of practicing it. Just lovingly listen to them.

I SMILE by Jacqueline Condor

I smile, a smile of hope today.
I smile, because my family numbers in hundreds.
I smile, because, I am a part of this family.
Allowed to be a citizen of the world.
I smile, because I live in interesting times.
I smile, and breath in the universal love.
I smile because the angelic realms have reached down through us.
I smile, because the sun came up.
I smile, because tears are drying.
I smile, because, I no longer feel alone.
I smile, because it is coming to pass.
I give thanks, to the universe for it's support.
To the ascended beings, guides, angelic and faerie realm that lend there support.
To the animal kingdom that sends it's energy .
May continued hope, light, peace, and healing become manifest,
throughout the earth.
For it is written "Where two or more agree;
As touching anything. It shall be given unto them."
So Be It..........

This is a channeled message by Jacqueline at the last weekend of 2004/2005,
during the Reiki Global Peace attunement performed by Will Beckwith, Reiki Master

MRS. TAKATA TALKS ABOUT REIKI

On William Rand’s Reiki website you will find the transcript of a tape recording of Hawayo Takata telling students about the history of Reiki. She brought Reiki from Japan to the West in 1938, and according to her, she was the only one living Reiki Master after Dr. Hayashi’s death. However, since 1996 we are getting more new information and light on Reiki History after opening the bridge between Reiki Practitioners from Japan and the West. We learnt that there were more Reiki Practitioners and Teachers in Japan than only Dr. Hayashi and Mrs. Takata (please check Reiki Lineage on my website to find more details), that in Japan there is still an organization started originally by Dr. Usui and called Reiki Ryoho Gakkai and much more.
